Out of the Box is a Leadership Development program that focuses on the initiation and advancement of Emotional Intelligence & Literacy (EI/EL) traits for youth, ages 5-18. The kit provides skill and language development that supports EI and EL growth along with experiential education, philosophies, and activities. This toolbox provides a dynamic curriculum that engages all learning styles: auditory, visual, kinesthetic and emotive, creating outcomes that are both immediate and transferrable.
Every lesson in the AIT Out of the Box curriculum supports California requirements for Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in schools as well as meeting the critical public call for meaningful and effective anti-bully curriculum. When taught and given space for practice, the outcomes are extraordinary in areas that include, but are not limited to, resiliency, self-efficacy, altruism, confidence, self-regulation, accountability, compassion, empathy and self-esteem.
While Out of the Box lessons focus on interpersonal, intrapersonal, and social- emotional growth, the outcomes of these skills influence social confidence, personal drive, academic progress, student behavior, attachment to school, and attendance.
The kit is customized for specific age ranges and settings, from classrooms to clubs, teams, and even clinical services.
All It Takes trainers and support staff will work collaboratively with program facilitators across settings to ensure implementation materials and skills are in place for meaningful delivery. Programming and training will include: Out of the Box language, Notice Choose Act® decision making framework, opening and closing processes and materials.
